The fact that social enterprise remains unknown to the public means social entrepreneurs need to work harder to communicate their cause. But have no fear, Muhammad Yunus is here. Social business will be a major theme at this year’s Scottish Business Awards taking place at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre on February 23.
Sir Bob Geldof will be in attendance to deliver a keynote and discuss the concept of social business, a term coined by Nobel Peace Prize laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus.
The event is designed to demonstrate the fundamental importance of business and entrepreneurship as a powerful force for change in Scotland and beyond. The Awards looks to celebrate those who are building and leading successful, growing, and dynamic businesses in Scotland.
There are 13 award categories including Entrepreneur of the Year, Social Entrepreneur of the Year, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Green Business of the Year.
On March 7, An Audience with Professor Muhammad Yunus will be held free for all Scottish Business Awards guests.
