YouTube isn’t the only one unveiling plans to help changemakers around the world. YouTube’s parent company Google hosted a gathering last week called “Solve for X”, where experienced entrepreneurs, innovators, and scientists came to discuss technological solutions to some of the greatest problems in the world. Now, they invite everyone to join the conversation.
The Solve for X website will feature Solve for X talks that inspire people to work on solutions to seemingly impossible to solve problems. The talks meet three criteria:
- Does is highlight a huge problem?
- Is there a concrete solution that could make a radical impact?
- Does it explain breakthrough science and technology that could enable this solution?
Most speakers are already working hard at making their “X” a reality, while others are offering their proposals with no current plans to tackle them. Solve for X encourages collaboration to build these proposals to make them reality. Talks can be submitted through Google +.
Solve for X is a forum to encourage and amplify technology-based moonshot thinking and teamwork, by identifying a huge problem to solve, a radical solution for solving it, and breakthrough technology to make it happen.
